Life is 10 percent what happens to you, and 90 percent how your reaction to it

Charles R. Swindoll, a famous educator, and author said that life is 10 percent what happens and 90 percent what you do about it.

Each person has a different definition of life. How we shape and form our lives is determined by our goals, dreams, or aspirations. A minor setback can cause our planned, organized lives to spiral out of control.

Should we allow our lives to be defined by some upsetting events? No matter how large or small, setbacks have to dampen our spirits. But should we let them ruin our mood? We shouldn’t. We should not. Setbacks teach us how to get up again and clean off our knees to get our lives back on track.

How we respond to the world around us will determine how we live our lives. Sometimes, life throws us such difficulties that we want to crawl under our covers and not face the world. In times of crisis, hiding from our problems seems better. When something unexpected happens, we feel helpless, weak, and vulnerable. It could be a fight between our parents, a conflict among our best friends, a failure at an exam, or a split with a lover. It can be a divorce between our parents, a fight with our best friend, a failure in an examination, or if we are experiencing a relationship breakdown with sex. It is essential to accept the problem and not run away from it. Please recognize that you have a problem and face it. Then, get on with your life. It’s not easy, but it is possible.

Life is beautiful

Life is beautiful, after all. It is complete surprises, new beginnings, and fresh starts. To get every ounce out of our lives, we must make the most of each moment. It’s not always easy, and it will be hard to see the bright side of things. During these dark and uncertain times, we must remember what makes life worthwhile. What pulls us to the need to keep fighting and get out of the mess in life?

It is important to remember that love can be beautiful and ethereal. Some people believe in us and love us, and want to see us happy. Even if this is not how we feel, even if it seems that no one loves or cares about us and that the entire world is deaf to our screams, there are still reasons to move forward in our lives. We don’t determine our worth. Instead, we believe we know the people who will validate us. We are who we are because of our beliefs, ideologies, and thoughts. Nobody can change that.

Self-acceptance is key to developing

Self-acceptance is key to developing a positive attitude towards love for yourself and your life, no matter how messy it might be. We are responsible for finding that shining light in the darkness. Albus Dumbledore is a well-known character in Harry Potter. He said this famously: “Happiness can even be found in the darkest times if one remembers that the light is on.”

This is true for everyone. Despite being in despair and hopelessness, one must learn how to climb up the ladder of self-improvement to get back on track.

A positive outlook on life starts with a strong mind and a kind heart. Without the other, you can’t survive. Next comes the difficult part of self-acceptance, accepting our imperfections, and refusing perfectionism. Next, you need to be patient and stoic in working on your weaknesses. It is essential to recognize that everyone is imperfect and that we all have our flaws. Accepting this truth will make life easier and help reduce our problems, if not eliminate them. How we view life and how we think about solving the issues that plague our lives determines our views on the best way to go. The next step is to find joy in life’s small things and cherish and treasure those moments. Although there is no set way to happiness or satisfaction in this world, our hearts can guide us towards a happier life.

Life is both beautiful and tragic

Life is both beautiful and tragic. It is not wise to ignore or disregard the terrible events of life. We’ll put off our fears and never know when they will come back. Accept the good and the bad. There is no perfect world. There are always ups and downs in life. We have the right to laugh at them or cry about them.

Find a rainbow after heavy rain and look for wildflowers amid the grass, search for drops of dew after an icy, bitter night, search for wild hearts in the midst of all the conformity, seek out sunshine when the shadows fade, and search for joy even in the darkest of circumstances.

Life is both beautiful and tragic

Never lose faith Don’t quit, even if every fiber and atom of your body is screaming for you to abandon and let go of this world. However, avoid the voice. Make it be quiet and listen instead to your heart. That tiny voice in your heart encouraging you to continue and never quit.

Listen more, ask for help when needed, love more, smile more, be happy when you can, cry when it gets overwhelming, and share your feelings and thoughts. Sometimes it might seem like people aren’t listening or don’t understand you. But try to make them listen to you or find others willing to help.

How can you expect others to reach out to you to help you rise again if you don’t offer your hand? Remember, life is beautiful, worth fighting for, and worth living. Smile and all will be well. The power of our thoughts can make a world change.
