Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said in a press conference that there has been no change in the price of petrol at the global level and neither has the value of the rupee improved, but efforts have been made to give relief to the people.
He said that the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs.5, petrol by Rs.8 per liter and the price of light diesel by Rs.5 per liter while the price of kerosene has not been changed.
After the recent reduction, diesel will be reduced by five rupees to Rs 253, per liter petrol price will be Rs 262 while light diesel price will remain at Rs 147 68 paisa and kerosene price will remain at Rs 164.07. The new prices will be applicable from 12:00 pm on June 1 to 12:00 pm on June 15.

وزیر خزانہ اسحاق ڈار نے پریس کانفرنس کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ عالمی سطح پر پیٹرول کی قیمت میں کوئی ردوبدل نہیں ہوا اور نہ ہی روپے کی قدر میں بہتری آئی مگر کوشش کر کے عوام کو ریلیف دینے کی کوشش کی ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ڈیزل کی قیمت میں پانچ روپے، پیٹرول کی فی لیٹر قیمت میں 8 روپے جبکہ لائٹ ڈیزل کی قیمت میں 5 روپے فی لیٹر کمی کی جارہی ہے جبکہ مٹی کے تیل کی قیمت میں کوئی ردو بدل نہیں کیا گیا۔
حالیہ کمی کے بعد ڈیزل پانچ روپے کمی سے 253 روپے، فی لیٹر پیٹرول کی قیمت 262 روپے جبکہ لائٹ ڈیزل کی قیمت 147 روپے 68 پیسے اور مٹی کے تیل کی قیمت 164.07 روپے پر برقرار رہے گی۔
نئی قیمتوں کا اطلاق یکم جون کی رات بارہ بجے سے پندرہ جون کی رات بارہ بجے تک ہوگا۔
